DIRHAND PTY LTD ("we") complies with the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect your personal information.
1. What we collect
Information you give us: your name, phone number, WeChat ID, email, suburb, the service you want, times that suit you, and any notes you add.
For provider partnership applications: the contact person's name and contact details.
2. What we don't collect
We never ask for your medical history, policy number, member number, insurance login or date of birth.
The insurer, cover level and amounts you enter in "My Extras" are calculated in your browser only and are never sent to our servers.
3. How we collect it
Directly from you through website forms, WeChat and email.
This website currently uses no analytics or advertising trackers. If we add any, we'll explain them here and give you a choice.
4. Why we collect and use it
To contact you and arrange your provider appointment, and to talk with you before and after it.
If you separately agree to receive offers and health reminders, we'll send them; you can unsubscribe at any time.
5. Who we share it with
Only the provider you choose (or the one we choose with you and tell you about first), and only the details needed for the booking.
Service providers who support our website (such as hosting), who may only handle information on our instructions.
Authorities, where required by law.
We never sell your personal information or give it to insurers.
6. Overseas disclosure
If you contact us via WeChat, your information may be stored by Tencent outside Australia (including mainland China).
Our website hosting provider may process data outside Australia. The specific countries will be listed here before launch.
7. Storage and security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
Information we no longer need is securely deleted or de-identified.
8. Access and correction
You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you at any time using the details below.
9. Complaints
If you think we've breached the APPs, please contact us first. We'll respond within 30 days.
If you're not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC): www.oaic.gov.au.
