Chinese-speaking osteopaths in Sydney
Osteopaths look at your muscles, bones and joints as a whole, using hands-on treatment, stretching and exercise advice to help with pain and movement.
What is an osteopath?
An osteopath has completed about five years of osteopathy study and is registered with the Osteopathy Board of Australia through Ahpra. They treat pain and movement problems by looking at the musculoskeletal system as a whole.
What an osteopath does
- Assess posture, muscles, joints and ligaments
- Massage, stretching, joint mobilisation and other hands-on techniques
- Exercise and daily activity advice
How they differ from similar roles
They treat many of the same problems as physios and chiros; the difference is mainly in approach and technique. Many policies put all three under one limit.
When to see an osteopath
- Pain in the back, neck, shoulders, hips or knees
- Posture problems or long-term strain
How Extras usually pays
Typical price $90–$130; Extras typically pays $30–$60 (per follow-up visit).
(Estimate only — your insurer has the final say)
Many policies put osteopathy in the same limit as physio and chiro; each visit gets part back. Check your policy.
