How to make it go further

Massage, acupuncture and Chinese medicine share one limit. Regular massage can use it up by mid-year, so if you also want acupuncture or Chinese medicine, plan how to split it.

What this limit usually covers

Your policy decides exactly what's included and how much each pays.

Common questions

Can I claim any massage?
Usually only remedial massage, and only from a therapist your insurer recognises. Relaxation massage and spa treatments usually can't be claimed.
What qualifications should an acupuncturist have?
Look for a Chinese medicine practitioner registered with Ahpra; that's usually needed to claim. You can check their registration on the Ahpra website.
Are Chinese herbs covered?
Some insurers cover Chinese medicine consults and herbs and some don't. It depends on your policy.
