How to make it go further

Chiro and osteo share one limit. If your policy includes exercise physiology here too, later rehab exercise also comes out of it, so plan ahead.

What this limit usually covers

Your policy decides exactly what's included and how much each pays.

Common questions

How is chiro different from osteo?
Both must be Ahpra-registered. A chiro focuses on assessing and adjusting the spine and joints. An osteo looks at posture, muscles and joints as a whole.
Is exercise physiology part of this limit?
Some insurers include it here, some count it separately, and some group it with physio. Check your policy.
Can I claim on the spot?
If the provider uses HICAPS, swipe your health fund card and pay only the gap. If not, pay in full and claim from your insurer yourself.

Other limit types

What a combined limit is called, what it covers and how much it pays differ by insurer and policy. Your insurer's confirmation is what counts.
